When you hear Another Life from Girl As Wave (the project of New York based singer-songwriter Marci Elizabeth) you get the sense of a wide eyed walk through dreamy colorful places, buzzing, being high either on intoxicants or something else. The "wave" in Girl As Wave is a good descriptor as there is a decidedly 80's-esque new wave feel here along with an almost 60's Warhol aesthetic attributable to producer / multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Deer who she collaborates with shifting from years of solo minimalist indie folk. Another Life is from the recently released debut EP, "Poison Vines and Nectar."
