"infectiously groovy"
When I heard how Lucas Rinaldi, songwriter, guitarist and lead vocalist for the Chatham, New York indie rock band Citrus Maxima sang "... perfect harmony", the sound kind of grabbed me by the shirt collar and slapped me upside my head. Rinaldi kind of chews on the words as he sings Falling About and he seriously chomps down on the word "perfect". I love it. He draws out some other words too with affected punk bitterness (passion). It's all about being unique boys and girls that sets a band or artist heads above others. It's about the differences.
Apart from Rinaldi's vocal aesthetic, the song seriously cranks in every possible way with Shawn Majeed on drums and bassist Wayatt Kirschner. After the initial beginning feedback the boys pump out this track in a feral way and the heaviness of the guitars, the upfront production. Yes, yes and oh yes.
Falling About is the first song written after the release of their 2019 EP "Manic Pixie Dream Girl"

In June of 2019, the band released their EP "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" which represents the maturing of their musical direction and identity. These are breakout caliber songs, from a band that has loads of experience at such a young age.
