Everyone who knows me, knows that I love the lyrical aspect of songs and because of this, I like to be able to hear the lyrics easily amidst the music. Well, Sleep Party Peoples- A Dark God Heart has completely indiscernible vocals (seriously) but in this case, it doesn't matter. The vocodorish vocals become part of the entrancing, moving music that coupled with the emotionally muted imagery of Director Marie Limkilde vision turns your head and heart inside out. From a young child's water soaked wrinkled skin to dark jean blue water that holds a tragedy, this depressive, lonely and dreamy piece of film making will surely haunt you, as will the song itself, which walks an impressive tightrope between stone cold beautiful and emotionally stirring.
