Speedy Ortiz - 'Taylor Swift' and 'Swim Fan' - is stripped down grungy bliss.

Sadie Dupuis, everyone's favorite camp-counselor, who has exposed the virtue of the power chord to suspecting children at a performing arts camp and created heavy grungy bliss a few years ago as KC Quilty (with songs like Supernova and Jackshit)- has now created a more spartan, but not any less grungy, feel in her newest band persona of Speedy Ortiz. Still, lovingly steeped in 90's flannel (ala a melting pot of Pavement, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Helium- kinda) but sounding more stripped down in a raw garage band sort of way, Speedy Ortiz is head bangingly awesome. Looking so forward to their upcoming album tentatively entitled "With Baby"-
