I implore you to check out this track "Hip New Jerk" by Slippertails, a rock duo from New Jersey.
The sketchy hustlers on the prowl sound instantly grabbed me. Love the vocal style that is some sort of blendo tough monotone drip equal parts Iggy Pop, Jim Morrison, Justin Warfield and some unknown cool guy with pursed lips and squinting eyes. I do have a huge big complaint with this song. It is too fucking short. This song is brooding and as such needs to well, brood awhile longer. Turn it up and get lost in the smokey dark sound.
