Toledo- built on a chance childhood meeting- hear the dreamy "Crane"

Sometimes I wonder why I do the thankless job of maintaining this self described "shitty little" music blog and then I find a song like Crane. The sounds, the atmosphere of this track feels immediately like a tropical dream with it's lyrical whimsical descent into a dreamy romantic fantasy. When it shifts onto the dance floor you cannot help but fly. This beautifully unique song is by Boston's Toledo.

Daniel and Jordan of Toledo are the dreamer only in their early twenties have know each other since they were 12 years old. Both were busking an a port town in northeast Massachusetts. A wonderful bio touch that reminds us how moments in life can set us on creative trajectories that never end. Their debut album is a concept album analyzing the origins of mythological characters like Hesperus, Saint Sebastian and Polyhymnia. They draw inspiration from bands like Radiohead and Real Estate to Nick Drake and Feist but they are their own wonderful selves.

I haven't been so stoked about new artists in a long time. Listen, fall into the wonderful Crane.
