Evan Wright - Title Track "Spaghetti Western" off his Debut EP - Damn Enchanting

Evan Wright's title track off of his recently released debut EP "Spaghetti Western" takes you to interesting places. The up front guitar and vocal is immediately intimate but it is the nuanced sounds both musical and ambient that pull your brain in to multiple directions. Of course those places that the song takes you is up to you but it will take you on a ride of memories of the past and visions of the future. It is just that kind of trippy affair. A peek at the EP and I thought of artists like Drug Cabin and Elliot Smith a bit although Evan really imparts his own aesthetic. Loving this. It is storytelling that doesn't feel like it is trying to hard. It just is what it is and it is achingly beautiful. Damn enchanting.

PRESS NOTES:

Evan Wright recorded “Spaghetti Western” in the barn of his family home in rural New Jersey during a summer break from college in New York City where he is based. With a couple of old microphones that he found on eBay, Wright tracked all of the vocals, bass, guitars, synths, and pianos before turning to his friend Zachary Ostroff in San Francisco who recorded the drums. Ostroff tracked drums over the recordings Wright sent him, and the two had long, late-night phone conversations about mixing and recording. On the minimalist ballad “The Only Thing I Feel For You” singer/songwriter Alyssa McDoom is featured.
“Spaghetti Western” drops everywhere online on March 2, 2018.
