This Swedish treat Weaver (the moniker of Johan Weber) hails from the city of Gothenburg and his latest offering Whatever Seems Less Wrong has a decidedly dense 80's vibe. In fact, as I listened I imagined the characters from Stranger Things running away from the scary entities from "the Upside Down". The beat almost gallops while synths sounds sweep from side to side. Weber has a cool vocal sound tinged with passion and poised in a thoughtful way. This earnest vocal take against a new wave-esque vibe gives an otherwise just multicolored poppy sound more emotional weight.
