Vampire by Belaver, the solo project of NYC based experimental folk artist B.E. Godfrey sways like a baroque pop waltz. Love the dirty guitar, the horn that floats around like a spirit and Godfrey's on top of the mic vocals. There is a theatricality here. Elements of art rock, the aforementioned baroque pop, post punk and goth folk. It feels like The Dresden Dolls, the Killers and Queens of the Stone Age all smushed together into one bloody pulp.
