"Clenched Fists" alternative art folk drones and grooves by Showalter
Clenched Fists by Showalter, the alt folk music project of Joseph Conde (What A Lion, Big Animals) opens with seemingly unsteady synth bass notes that feel compressed with distortion until an organic beat finds the sleepy cadence followed by a folk rock progression and Conde's evocative stacked harmonies. The aesthetic drones and grooves at the same time dripping with a cool psychedelia. Conde reshaped the 2011 What A Lion song Clench Your Fists from a straight alt folk song to something much trippier and art rockish. You can check out the official video for Clenched Fists produced by Austin James Harter. - Robb Donker
