Annabel Allum's post punk battle worn declaration "You Got It Good"

You Got It Good by Annabel Allum (UK) is post punk guitar driven female fronted rock that stirs my brain with doses of tones reminiscent of artists like Patti Smith, The Breeders and Courtney Barnett. Allum's feral nature on this track does feel dressed up some with a kind of rock pop polish but that is ok. It sounds shiny and well produced is all. Her vocal performance shines with a cool demanding battle worn sound.

You Got It Good is out via London cult label Killing Moon. Of the track, Allum offers:  "I wrote this song after a friend came to me in a very low state. This is the conversation I had with them. Sometimes we need to go through hardship to grow as people, and understand ourselves & the world around us better. To adapt & learn from negative situations allows us to appreciate life more."

You Got It Good is the first single taken from a new 6-track EP, set for an autumn release. Recorded with Adrian Hall(Goldfrapp, Anna Calvi, Du Blonde). In support of the release Annabel will be taking in various festivals as well as her own headline tour.
