Monsters by Boo Riley, the musical moniker of singer-songwriter and Broadway performer Austin Lesch draws inspiration from 80's pop and classic rock and it shows. There is something on the track from the sonic sound of the guitar leads, to the kind of romance wave sway to the foray into melodic dissonance and the resulting artistic flair that feels very art rockish- there are tones of Bowie to me and even a tinge of baroque pop ala Tori Amos.... yes, I hear things.
Of the song Boo offers:
"Like Arthur Miller's, The Crucible, but real. Witches capture children and turn them into werewolves to fight their war against humanity. Inspired by the movie, The Witch."
Whaaaat? Yeah, I like this guy a lot. Boo Riley, aka Austin Lesch is based out of Manhattan.
