Brighton Boat Hire by Dunedin, New Zealand based Charcoal Burners centered around the songwriting visions of Andrew Spittie is a beautifully wrought, spartanly produced song. It is just acoustic guitar and string sounds that stand back for Spittle's evocative, intimate vox. The song feels like quiet, painful revalations told to a friend after something has been broken into pieces but not beyond repair. The glue is always love and hope and that feeling is laced within Spittie's melodies.
