To The South, Bluebird builds nuanced sounds and makes them quietly soar on "Little Life"
AP Track Review
Little Life, those two words together make me instantly feel many things. On one hand to think of one's life as little is humble but it also feels a bit sad too. I mean, one, at times and maybe more often than not dreams of having a grand life, one of import, blessed and making a difference to people. The song Little Life by To the South, Bluebird, the one man dream pop project of musician, songwriter Sorin Pop feels in some ways humble and sad. It also move you in a myriad of ways as it's percussive nature with orchestration, gentle piano chords and Sorin's plaintive lilt. It is the aforementioned groove that comes in big with a explosive beat that drives the song so beautifully. A lead guitar rides on a single note and then many, making the song quietly soar. Sorin's voice feels self aware, internal and pulls at your heart in a major way. It sits in all these wonderful nuanced sounds, phrases as a mantra, sad piano notes and that heartbeat. Finally, Rahel Türk-König's beautiful backing vox tenderly move to the front and this beautifully sad flower is finally open.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES
To the South, Bluebird is Sorin Pop’s one-man ‘dream pop' project, a transylvanian multifaceted musician who recorded his first album, Longings, in his bedroom. Since then, TTSB had the chance to open for acts such as Elsiane, Árstíðir, Behind the Shadow Drops or Crippled Black Phoenix. Blending melancholic guitar tunes and the backing vocals of Rahel Türk-König, the guest singer in live performances and some of the studio tracks, their music builds into an emotional and introspective journey, with songs about loving, leaving and longing.
