Nutrients out of Toronto and their track "Always In Bloom" elevates softly
AP Track Review
Sometimes as an avid music listener, I want sounds to grab me by the throat or push me around like I am smack dab in the middle of a furious mosh pit. Other times I want easy, chill sounds that elevate me in other ways and maybe lower my blood pressure. The new track Always in Bloom by Toronto's Nutrients does just that and more. Evolving out of Taylor Teeple's self recorded bedroom pop, the band with Will Hunter (guitar), Sean McKee (bass), Turner Wigginton (drums) and Iulia Ciobanu (keys) perform and still self- record / produce their sounds focused on short, breezy and dreamy manifestations of sound. I am really liking their aesthetic and their soft hushed vocal presentation.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Nutrients is a 5-person group from Toronto that likes to play short, jangly songs. The band began as a recording project in a basement deep below Boulevard St-Laurent in Montreal. Years of focusing on a grungier project had allowed vocalist Taylor Teeple to accumulate a stockpile of breezy, softly-sung songs. These would appear on three home-recorded, self-released Nutrients tapes. Nutrients evolved from its bedroom pop roots in 2017 when Teeple relocated to Toronto. After diving into the local scene, he emerged with the rest of the band: guitarist Will Hunter, drummer Turner Wigginton, bassist Sean McKee, and keyboardist Iulia Ciobanu.
