Baseball Game's extraordinary track "See You Tomorrow" like a cold visceral splash
Baseball Game
I don't know much about Baseball Game except that they are a duo or "two piece band" based out of Nashville and Los Angeles. All I really know is that I love their track See You Tomorrow. It marries organic acoustic sounds with a highly effected vocal presentation and effected ambiance too, soon you feel present keys and light orchestration. The counter position of unnatural sounds and natural is weird but so compelling especially because the melodies are so very beautiful and sad. Maybe the vocal sound with it's dirty high end phase shifting transports your mind innately to past remembrances like the sonic or visual cues of badly recorded cassette tapes or the broken fluttered light spatters of old 8mm film that tells, transports your brain to other places in your past. You feel longing as a reaction, just like you sweat on a hot sunny day. It is visceral. Baseball Game smartly, surprisingly shut off the vocal effect at the very end of the song. It is like a cold splash of reality. Harsh but beautiful.
