L.A. based Pretty stimulate the dance funk new wave pleasure centers on "Motion"

AP Track Review

Los Angeles based Pretty, on their track Motion, tunnels (in my brain) directly to the musical pleasure centers fueled by 80's bands like Duran Duran, ABC and Roxy Music. Their brand of indie rock blends dance rock, funk and new wave tones. The funky guitars of Mihailo Lukic (combined with deep bottom groove courtesy of Felipe Rodriguez on bass and drummer Connor Bond and trancy keys by Topli Petko) feels formed from the quintessential early funk new wave guitarists like Adrian Belew or Carlos Alomar (Bowie's late 70's band / think of songs like Beauty and the Beast or Stay). Milosh Petko's crooning vox have that lush lounge rock coolness. Time to sway to the beat and the romance of it all.
