Red Mass (collective) release "Killer On The Loose" (feat. Rick Froberg and Mac DeMarco)

Art / Music Collective Project

Having a featured artist on a track is nothing new and, in fact, the rap and hip hop community has taken it to a heightened art with seemingly a half a dozen varied artists on one track from time to time. Yeah, it is a way to spread the track to legions of fans and, it is just plain creatively interesting. Canada based Roy Vucino and Hannah Lewis aka Red Mass as part of the TA DA arts collective has been a touchstone, a gathering spot for musicians and artists around the world. On Red Mass' full length "A Hopeless Noise" you will find the likes of Mike Watt, Mac Demarco, Evan Dando and members of Fly, Pan Am, the Black Lips and Godspeed You! Black Emperor as featured artists.

The track Killer On The Loose, a break neck paced punk rocker (with a blues rock busting backbone) features no-other than Rick Froberg on guitar (Pitchfork, Hot SnakesDrive Like JehuObits) and Mac DeMarco on backing vox. Cool beans.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW IT- PRESS NOTES:

Created by Roy Vucino with Hannah Lewis as part of the TA DA arts collective, Red Mass has become a gathering of musicians and artists from around the globe. The band has amassed more than 100 participating artists and musicians in its ranks including Mike Watt, Mac DeMarco, Evan Dando, as well as members of Fly Pan Am, the Black Lips, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor among others.
Their new single, "Killer On The Loose", features Mac DeMarco on backing vocals and is a driving punk track inspired by Bret Easton Ellis’ fascination with extreme nihilism.
