Carrying Torches' hybrid post punk rock on "Computer"

"dance punk vibes"

The members of Carrying Torches hail from the southern part of Chicago (where suburbia and farm country intersect). They collectively have ties to bands (from indie pop / punk / metal) like Dischord, Pilgrims, The Unlawful and Lighttribe. Genre blending is a good thing and the track Computer has a cool jagged pop punk rock feel with proto punk tones, a very furious rock pre-chorus that gives way to dance punk vibes on the chorus, big guitars, feral drumming and Justin Daniel's wailing vox. Yes, style blending is awesome.

Carrying Torches are Justin Daniel (vox, guitar), John Paul Gray (drums), Mike Bass (bass), Alex Jaskula (lead guitar) and Misty Okroi (keys, synth).
