Denver's Backseat Vinyl and the full tilt garage punk and melancholia of "Heads"

"a melt down"

Heads by Denver's garage punk alternative three piece Backseat Vinyl is a chunky pile driver with feral tom tom battered drums, bass heavy, staccato guitar lines and sing songy melodies by Nate Fuller. The song might feel like punk bluster, hard and visceral. The kind of sounds that illicit moshing in an intense fury of movements and body slamming to feel something or feel nothing I am not sure which. Coincidentally the song might relate to the need to feel something too. Vocalist, lyricist Fuller offers:

Heads is the first single off our upcoming record so we were very nervous on how people would take it. We changed our sound sure, but I also got more personal with the lyrics so it was a little intimidating to release it. I guess it’s just a melt down of one night stands. When you’re laying in bed with a stranger just waiting for the right time to leave because you don’t want to be there anymore. It’s also about being afraid to be alone. Using someone for their company so you don’t have to be in your own.”

Hey, I am not judging. We have all been there. Being alone sucks and feeling alone when you are with someone sucks even more.

Backseat Vinyl is Clara Loise (bass), Nate Fuller (guitar / vox) and Keenan Clarke (drums)
