KOLOSSUS DÄÄCHT throw punk barbs in "Lipstick Love" (Official Video)

KOLOSSUS DÄÄCHT

Germany's boisterous (and maybe preposterousKOLOSSUS DÄÄCHT throw punk barbs at the selfie generation on their jammy punk reflection Lipstick Love with a rather self involved Official Video as directed by their own Stefan Heyn. And there lies the rub as they say, we are all falling down the rabbit hole of self commercialization to some degree. To be honest, the video is funny, great and makes it's point while being self deprecating. Choppy guitars and social commentary go well together, propelled by Dennis Scheffer's driven guitar, front man Clement Hoffer's vocal posturing that feels proto punk and self aware (kudos to backings vox and that falsetto), Stefan Heyn, jams on the double time drums in a surf punk way held up by Benedäächt Bartl's bass lines. This song is stuck in my head and that's alright with me.

"The song Lipstick Love reflects superficial narcissism, the modern body culture, the insatiable urge for self-complacency and the self-portrayal in our modern society. We tried to visualize this topic in the context of today's network culture."

Lipstick Love is the first single of the band's debut album "Lipstick Love" dropping on March 27th (2020)
