NYC Meyru's dirty guitar driven indie rocker "At Some Point" churns the highs and lows of love

"genre-bending burner"

The track At Some Point by NYC indie rock band Meyru is a lush passionate piece of romance wave with big dirty guitars and crooning vox. The aesthetic is at part lounge rocker with sock hop punk undertones that could easily be a slow dance lullaby at some high school prom or it could be the sad core soundscape pouring out of a car stereo as one lone driver is lamenting unrequited love. High or low, it feels torn and cool and so cinematic.

About the single Meyru explain it's "kinda the start of a different direction for Meyru. It's simpler. I mean I didn't think we could get any simpler, but it is. It's a short, sweet and poppy love song telling someone who may or may not love you back to get their shit together and just tell you what they want."

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Meyru are back! The indie-rock five-piece take us to a world where rock meets indie-pop in their new single "At Some Point," a welcomed addition to their stellar repertoire. The band is releasing the single just ahead of their forthcoming show at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, Feb 22nd
Meyru closed out 2019 with the release of their debut album Good To See You, which featured hit single "She" (which landed itself on Spotify's Discover Weekly Playlist) "Something I Like" and "Running Day Dreams."
Meyru's perfected sound of nostalgic indie-rock lends itself perfectly to this new single. Featuring instrumental solos that'll have you swaying to the beat and romantic vocals that take you on a journey, "At Some Point" is a genre-bending burner. On the single Meyru explain it's "kinda the start of a different direction for Meyru. It's simpler. I mean I didn't think we could get any simpler, but it is. "Heavenly vocals have this blissful, sighing, choral effect." Clash
"They've perfected the balance between subdued and energetic indie rock" - The Big Takeover
"A bustling and melodic effort" - Obscure Sounds
With a songwriting sensibility reminiscent of The Cars and vocal tone reminiscent of Kurt Cobain, the NYC five-piece bring a much needed fervent and renewed energy to the indie-rock scene. The crew's indie pop melodies, bolstered by intricate guitar leads and driving bass has lead them to a series of sold out shows at NYC Venues such as Mercury Lounge, The Bowery Ballroom, and Pianos.
The band spent a month in the mountains of North Carolina where they recorded their debut album in the basement of an abandoned church with the help of Brooklyn based producer, Tyler Brown, and mastering engineer, Dan Millice (A$AP Rocky, Al Green, 50 Cent).
