Fransancisco is a duo based out of Ojai, Calfornia by way of New York but originally based out of Sydney, Austraila. Isaac and Thorald Koren were, in fact, born in Adelaide, Australia. Their latest track, What Happens Now, is from the onset, a vocally intimate affair fueled on beautiful harmonies, textured acoustic guitar and sparse piano. Isaac and Thorald's vocal aesthetics are so embracing and so ultimately beautiful that they could sing a phone book and it would still probably sound stunning. Thankful for us, the lyrics here are poetic and the melodies full of longing, full of distant memories flickering down like light through trees.
Isaac Koren reflects on the track, "'What Happens Now' is a song about reaching those crossroad moments in life. When Thorald and I immigrated from Sydney, Australia to NYC, we had no safety net, blindly entering a new chapter of life. This song is about beginnings, and having the courage to leave everything you once loved behind in order to embrace the unknown. The lyrics were co-written by our mother, Madeleine."
