"how could you do this to yourself"
Andes and Breath from Goldstaggers' 2019 EP "Goldstagger In Bambonia" begins with mellow acoustic folk rock guitar. Then at 7 seconds in all hell breaks loose and while that might seem like an exaggeration, the track descends into walls of guitars, some ringing out alt rock hard low Spaghetti Western embellishments and others piercing the wall of sounds with shrieking guitar notes as organ sounds swell. All the while, the bass and beat marches forward and the strident vox cry out. It feels like wails of pain more than a song really. I love it.
