Hollyy and their garage soul bring in the old school sounds with the new in "Miss The Feeling"

"something that I see in her eyes..."

Chicago's garage soul band Hollyy have a sound that is so warm from the inside out. You can feel it on their latest Miss The Feeling and as deeply rooted in old school blues, jazz and R&B as they are there is a sense of contemporary sounds as well, the forward snap and production flourishes that point to neo soul and indie rockisms. The vocal performance is so rich and when the track get's upbeat, you feel a Detroit rhythm in the double time downbeats and even tinges of Gospel in the celebratory moments.

Hollyy is currently recording their next album with award-winning producers Nick Boyd & Mark Needham (The Killers, The 1975).

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Hollyy is an up and coming alternative soul group from Chicago, IL that has compiled quite a few impressive accolades since forming in 2017. Hailed as "pure innovators of old-school soul in a modern-day musical landscape" by These Days News, these guys draw on sounds influenced by the likes of Sam Cooke and Leon Bridges to Wilco and Whitney.

They released their debut EP titled "Letters from Lawndale" independently in September 2018 and have since then garnered radio time on distinguished stations such as 93XRT, WKQX, WGN News, and WBEZ Public Radio. They have been televised on JBTV, America's longest-running music television program among artists such as Hozier, Green Day, Jeff Buckley, Portugal the Man, Pearl Jam, Alt-J and The 1975 to name a few. They have also earned interest from several prominent acts to share the bill as an opening act due to their stellar live performances, including The O'My's, The Dip, Elizabeth Moen, The Rad Trads, Hop Along, Sweet Crude, and Speedy Ortiz.
