INSIDEAWAVE's ethereal indie rock prose of "Ivy Honey"

"Down duvet keep the windows closed"
Ivy Honey by Dublin's INSIDEAWAVE has a soft soothing, almost hypnotic quality. It might be the easy textured beat, the airy guitar, distance descending piano, sense of ambiance or the beautiful vocal performance. I was going to write angelic (as cliche as that is) as the vocal aesthetic here is wonderfully engaging, pristine and passionate, if you will, with a Thom York-esque quality while being it's own.

The band says:

"'Ivy Honey' takes inspiration from the work of the beekeeper. The song is an ode to the honey of the ivy flower, the often forgotten, end of season harvest from the Irish honey bee."

-Robb Donker Curtius

Utilizing elements of indie, dream pop and folk as their canvas, INSIDEAWAVE create colourful music with modern twists. While having performed extensively on the Dublin independent music scene, critical response to their singles finds them broadening their audience nationally. A memorable live show and an extensive catalog of unreleased material make them one of indie rock’s hidden gems.
