Nashville's indie folk duo, River Tramps, blend in their roots that run wide in "State of Mind"

"we're not so different you and I"

State of Mind by Nashville based indie folk / Americana duo, River Tramps begins with a creaky old bit of ambiance that gives way to guitars that, in and of itself, create evocative melodies that makes you feel like you need a cold drink, a sweating beer in the heat of a dusty summer. That refreshing down home drink comes in the form of Adam and Niko's earthy, deeply passionate vocals. They spout lyrics and melodies that are at once beautiful but sharp too, (he) "oh I hate myself"... (she) "and I hate you too". The song with a horse's slow trot cadence and psychedelic tones feels like a combination of folk, beach goth and desert rock really but Adam and Niko inject the Americana rootsy-ness and as they say a sound "from the bayou to the foothills of Appalachia".
