PREMIERE: Georgia Fair and the fabulistic, escapist "Mystery Trip" (Official Video)

"only a sent so sweet could heal my wounds so deep"

In the Official Video for Georgia Fair's fabulistic Mystery Trip, Jordan Wilson and Benjamin Riley look into the camera and past it, their expressions somewhere in between brooding, annoyance and sad reflection. There is no attempt in lip syncing (thank God), just their sort of stoic stares. They are cast in black and white and when the song ends exit the frame slowly. The contrast between the muted emotional imagery and the beautiful depth of emotions and loveliness of the song itself is chasmic and I suppose that's what makes it so interesting. Against a simple but very moving stark acoustic guitar picking, Wilson and Riley tell their story, their trip with beautiful melodies and evocative poetry. The sounds of their voices, their vocal aesthetic is drop dead gorgeous.

Mystery Trip is from their recently released full length "The World's Awake" (2020)

Of the video- Georgia Fair offer:

"We shot this clip in our buddies attic. His name is Wilkie, a mysterious cat but we tracked him down nonetheless. He was in a sling at the time so our movement was limited. The three of us were savouring the Melbourne streets all day in our Sunday best, shooting portraits. We had one spot light and a bad attitude. The result was Mystery Trip, one of our easiest and favourite clips to make."

Mystery Trip is from their recently released full length "The World's Awake" (2020). The boys are from Sydney, Australia but are currently based out of London (UK).
