Sneaky Little Devil do it old school to sound brand new on the delicious psychedelia of "Supernova Superstars"
"wondering when to begin the began"
The track Supernova Superstars from the upcoming album "Wicked Lullaby" by Sneaky Little Devil is not only gorgeous but delicious. The tastiness comes from the song being crafted like an artisan would make bread using real ingredients and a killer oven and cooking process. At the core are singers and songwriters Gregory and Sarah Scott with other superb cooks with killer instruments at their disposal. Gregory laying down keys/ synths and fat drums courtesy of his skills and his 1966 (Pre-Tama) MIJ Trap Kit, Chris Buzea laying guitar down on his Gretsch G5420T Electromatic holly body, Maxwell Pierce, bass on his Nash PB-63 and Sarah crooning into the Cloud JRS-34. Sneaky Little Devil is obsessed with analog affectations, recording 2 songs at a time and when 8 songs are done pressing them to vinyl.
If the recording process hearkens back to another time, the songs follow suit too. Supernova Superstars feels like late 70's garden rock / psychedelic folk with a patina of glam too. Lush sounds penetrated by psyche rock guitar and trippy synth / drum fill intertwining sounds. Beautiful and so captivating. The pearly sounds of the keys (something between a Fender Rhodes and a mellotron) alone will make you feel high as will Gregory and Sarah's comely vox. Damn.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Modern music with a retro, timeless soul. Fat drums, swirling synths, epic vocals harmonies. Sarah & Gregory scott, at your service.
Supernova Superstars is the opening track on an 8-song record we’ll be releasing 1 song at a time, every month. Like all our songs, the lyrics are more ‘colorful & impressionistic’ and less ‘coherent storytelling’. The music hints at our fairly broad range of influences, from 70’s art rock to early 80’s synth soundtracks to 90’s downtempo and trip-hop. We’re trying to craft arrangements that are timeless, that can be listened to hundreds of times and always manage to offer new surprises, hidden gems.
