Parker Clone out of Austin and their enthralling post punk thumper "2020" (Official Video)

Parker Clone is a three piece alternative indie rock band from Austin, Texas. They are young, have a cool sort of doodled astronaut helmet logo (with an antennae on it), sound nicely raw and lo-fi and just released a three song EP entitled (appropriately) "Triple" which might have to do with the three piece band thing too besides the number of tracks. The EP starts with 2020, a simple but effectively enthralling post punk thumper. It feels raw, with fuzzy tendencies and definitely not quantize'd which is a great thing. The boy / girl vocals are shout-a-bout and the feeling is a bit like a chicken running around with it's head cut off (figuratively speaking) and that is a good thing too.

Parker Clone is Rowan Eno Stout  (Guitar, Vocals, Drums), Willow Braun (Bass, Vocals, Synthesizer) and Reid Ronsonette (Lead guitar).

A heavy-hitting rock song for the times.

Driven by a fuzz bass and kaleidoscopic lead guitar lick,

2020 delivers what the people need right now: hooks.

It’s as easy to relate to as it is to sing a long to, and would fit

comfortably among the likes of X, Ty Segall, The Strokes, or any

distorted garage pop.
