Vancouver's Autos Jaquet jagged runaway train of post punk - "Anthropocene"

"take what you need"

Anthropocene by Vancouver garage rock / post punk trio Autos Jaquet is a veritable rock onslaught / a jagged runaway train of post punk rock that on occasion sounds like the drum kit thrown down a flight of stairs (meant in a good way). Feral, with big walls of fuzz sustains melting in front of you. I flashed on Thee Oh Sees and early Cosmonauts (So. Cal punk band) and I imagined seeing the band live from the mosh pit at a small venue. The boys call Anthropocene, "A nihilistic love song for our current age."

Anthropocene:
the current geological age, viewed as the period during which human activity has been the dominant influence on climate and the environment.
