Christoph Dahlberg's time bending indie electronic "Cloudz" from his debut album "Time"

Cloudz, the second single from Germany based Christoph Dahlberg's debut album "Time" (on Dapayk´s label Sonderling/Fruehling Records) is, from the onset, a different musical animal. It exists on a plane of electro beats and blips with ascensions of sounds, synths taking all manor of imaginative musical beings, that seems to rise up and stalk, move around Dahlberg's high registered wide eyed ethereal vocal aesthetic. It all is an interesting, avant garde, visual dance. It feels as much like performance art as it does an experimental sort of song and while it is only one of 12 songs from the "Time" album it feel like a musical come on. It makes me want to hear more. The amazing thing about this musical journey of a song is that it might just bend time because I swear (after experiencing it) that only a couple of minutes went by but in reality 4 minutes and 29 seconds had transpired.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES

On his debut *TIME Christoph Dahlberg draws fine lines into the music with organic sounds and crackling beats. Near the Baltic Sea, Dahlberg lives in the country - a refuge like an island for his work as a visual artist and musician. He understands how to extract details through intelligent sampling, to encounter the idea, to capture it and thus to free himself - a great subtlety. His sonic handwriting is based on intense years in drum 'n bass, pulsating glitches and electronic sound experiments.

On *TIME memories of old times blur with new sounds and make clear how intense a multi-faceted work in modern times can be, without losing sight of where you come from.
