Six Leaves Left and the synth drenched 80's romance of "Black Sand" will make you dream of things

"majestic dreams and wonder"

Six Leaves Left is the electronic music project of  Italy born Mauro Corbia, based in Berlin, Germany and the track Black Sand pushes the right buttons in my head and heart. It has a sense of majesty, the driving beat, and layers of synths are sort of drenched in 80's sad romance but also feels fable-esque. Mid-way, vintage (maybe 60's) samples of a sci-fi movie break up the totally instrumental soundscape providing some vague narrative but the open ended sweep still prevails. 

I have listened to this track a lot and sometimes I hear the amazing Sam Herring of Future Islands telling some romantic tales of battered perseverance and loss amid his croons and growls.
