The charming and disarming "Hi" by Matt Maltese is unabashedly lovely

"you leave home and I leave mine"

Hi by 23 year old London singer songwriter Matt Maltese is a disarming, sweet, charming and sometimes corny love song, oh and I mean corny in a good way ("I want to be the French to your fries"). The song moves like a slow late 60's pop serenade which only adds to the charm and it is absolutely drenched in charm, so much so that I have, thus far. noted various derivations of the word charm four times in this write up.

“This is an ode to someone who’s there for you and has been there all along. I think it’s a song that tries to capture the moment that your love for someone reveals itself to you.” - Matt Maltese

Hi is from Matlese's upcoming EP "Madhouse" due to drop August 7th (2020) and was penned in collaboration with Rose Elinor Dougal and Edd Holloway during a Spotify Songwriting camp.

Lovely stuff, listen to it, embrace it and support indie music today whether it is Matt Maltese or some other artist that floats your boat.
Go love someone.

23 year old south London artist Matt Maltese has today shared ‘hi’, the latest track taken from his upcoming EP, madhouse, due out on 7 August via new label home, Nettwerk. New track ‘hi’ is a laid back love ballad, written in collaboration with Rose Elinor Dougall and Edd Holloway during a Spotify Songwriting camp. Drawing parallels not dissimilar to Devendra Banhart and Father John Misty, its music and lyrics as rich and dreamy as you would expect from Maltese.
