Pulse Park artful indie post rock dreams on "The Equidistance"
"you decide to leave or stay"
Pulse Park are four men who (as story has) it met some time ago on an arctic expedition in Qikiqtaaluk/Canada and started learning their instruments during the long polar nights. I am deadly serious and whether that is merely a drunken rumor (though I doubt it) these guys make some dreamy and artful indie / post rock tones. Listen to The Equidistance with it's heavy handed drums and slight jangly rhythms it feels almost like 90's college rock but the massive sustains (ebowed?) drives it straight and hard into that post rockiness. Love the hushed vox opposing the big energy and in some crazy way this feels like a car crash of Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth and Radiohead if that makes any sense at all.
