"and I know you're tangled in an invisible thread"
Invisible Thread, the third single from Gig Harbor, Washington based Stablemate's debut full length "Shapeless", floats on pearly guitar lines and vocal melodies that successfully skate along pop forward places while retaining post rock flavors.
The band shares:
"This track is made after someone I loved who was experiencing frequent anxiety/panic attacks. It comes from my perspective just trying to be there, trying to hold them, all while realizing that everything is really not okay, but that's okay. Everyone goes through phases of anxiety and moments where it feels like life is just constantly closing in on you."
When the song sort of deconstructs leaving only tubular electric guitar patterns and then builds up once again starting with prescient keys, heavy bass and drums, followed by tender vox it feels so heavenly.

Thank you for checking out our music. Feels quite insane to know that someone out there could be listening. Been holding onto these records for some time now...just nervous to ever put it out there.

My deepest hope is that it makes you feel something. Growing up as kids, music used to hit like an emotional tidal wave. I think we’ve spent our whole lives just trying to unlock, excavate, and harness just a fraction of that.
BIO:
After years of making music, Conor and I (Mitch) hit a wall. Conor felt pressure to move forward, enlisting in the Navy. I went to college in pursuit of a business degree. We grew apart, and life pushed us away from music.
After college, Conor began to send me music again. Demos, recorded on his iPhone while deployed in the Persian Gulf. The demos were muddy, struggling to punch through the powerful drone of the Cruiser engine that sat beneath him.
Meanwhile, I wasn't ready to dive headfirst into the corporate pool. Instead, I would pursue a grand adventure. I set off to drive my 4Runner from Seattle, WA to Argentina.
It was through the speakers of that 4Runner that I heard the demos that would eventually become our songs. From what Conor made in the hull of a boat on the other side of the world, music came back to me.
Years later, I find myself wishing that we had never hit pause. Yet, without the journey, there may not be any music at all. Life isn't linear, we came back to music, and for that we are grateful.
Since, we have added two more members to the band: Anna, who blesses us with her hauntingly perfect vocals, and Daniel, our immensely gifted drummer.
We have now finished our first LP, Shapeless. Somehow, we always come back to what we love to do most.
We are working hard to get our music into as many ears as we can. But, the truth is, we don’t care what happens next. We already have everything that we will ever need. We will never stop making more of it.
