Vienna based trio MARY-ANN KIEFER with the tightly constructed art rock fusion of "Fuserrrr"

"things are going to get crazy"

FUSERRRR by Vienna based trio MARY-ANN KIEFER is an edgy musical thrill ride. While spatially wrought there is little space to move or breathe within the tense composition. Artfully rendered it, at times, feels like something that is scattershot but is, instead, exquisitely put together like the intricacies of a Swiss time piece. This absolutely double timed constant push can be tiring for those not ready for the assaultive quality. It is, as I like to say with or without a rimshot,  a musical piece not for the faint of art.

The band refers to it as "a tense ride through eclectic soundscapes straight into the eye of a cotton candy tornado" and I will accept that description, in fact, swallow it whole. At nearly 9 minutes the crazy visceral ride seems to fly by.

A crowd contributed video is in the works and the band is still accepting material- look at the details under the You Tube preview below:

FROM THE BAND:  To celebrate the single release properly, we spared no expenses and got ourselves greenscreen material of a galloping unicorn. Now we ask all you visual creators to decide which landscapes it is running through. Let it be glitchy, magical, minimalistic, retro or completely weird - send us your background material and we will fuse your contributions to a crowd-designed music video.

Our goal is to collect 100 different entries of a 10 seconds footage each... so make the unicorn gallop through the interwebz and share it within your networks.

Please send us your contributions as WeTransferLinks to contact@maryannkiefer.com with the following specs: Full HD, H.264 (.mov or .mp4), 25 or 50 frames per second."

All the best,
Iggi from M-AK

Vienna based trio MARY-ANN KIEFER; conceptually between band format and DJ set; scatters across the borders of mathrock, noise and electro-punk with a tense mix of influences like Squarepusher, Lightning Bolt and 65daysofstatic. Since 2011 they (almost) constantly have been working through structured chaos of hypnotic electronica and pour out effervescent sound waves, programmed to blow across space like a tsunami.
