Lea & the Loved Ones and the transportive "You Should Come Sailing" embraces natural beauty

"I'll pick you up one day"

"You Should Come Sailing" by Gothenburg, Sweden based Lea & the Loved Ones feels like an organic tale with tactile percussive strings, sinewy story lines propelled by lovely voices. The feeling is as stately as it is beautiful and at one point the musical narration dips and weaves into a waltz of sorts. The melodies and aural imaginings not only feel like they could exist in another century but feel bound to the earth and see in a pure way, analog bound, not digitally. The thing of music as stories told on porches, in a field or forest, churches or in the town square. At one point when the vocals fall away to a piano lead journey it felt cinematic too.

Of the song, this special musical outfit share:

One day, Lea got a letter from her friend, the sailor, with the lyrics to this song in it. Lea immediately felt the urge to write a song with these lyrics. The song became a playful homage to the sailor, a hymn about everlasting friendship, a toast to the freedom of the ocean. The playful accompaniment is inspired by sunlight reflected in water and the sound of sailboats lying at anchor next to each other. One can hear the musical intimacy between the four musicians, listening to each other not only with their ears but with their hearts.

This song will appear on Lea & the Loved Ones' second record. Their first record "Diamonds" was released under their former band name "Lea".
