Daisy-Chain and the jangle pop eccentricities of "Station to Station" from the "Tragic Magic" EP

"You're a tigress on my heartstrings"

Hearing the beautiful and frantic sounds chasing themselves on "Station to Station" by Orlando, Florida's jangle pop eccentric Daisy-Chain feels nostalgic, dreamy and carefree in the best possible way. This song and all the songs on their recently released EP "Tragic Magic" feels spring reverb loaded with punchy bursts of energy soaring on pretty melodies stuffed with youthful chunks of askew poetry and romance.

This may seem weird but the vocal aesthetic and the songs themselves made me think of an amalgam of artists like Talking Heads, The Drums, The Cure, early Surf Curse and The Smiths (on amphetamines).

Love "Station to Station's" upfront bass and guitars, (secondly up) drums and vocals somewhat buried but peaking through. My second fav track on the EP (by the way) is "Pompetus" and I thought of XTC and Modest Mouse (if they weren't so sad) but, quite seriously, all the songs made me smile and sway.
