Those Fucking Snowflakes' politico post punk boom on "Due Some Terrible End" (Official Video)

"Words fail, why are yours always filled with such hate?"

Those Fucking Snowflakes are back disseminating their polito post punk on "Due Some Terrible End". It is the first song release from "Everything Is Absolutely Fkkkkkkd", the bands third EP and first on John Robb's* Louder Than War Records. The EP is available on limited 10" yellow vinyl available online from Louder Than War Records and Norman Records on 22nd January 2021 and the song is available as an immediate download when pre-ordering the EP, pre-orders go live on 26th December.

"Due Some Terrible End" with a fair amount of 80's and 90's heavy post punk affirmations (in tones and textures) that veer into heavy metal tongue and groove constructions as well and blending with the contemporary (old meets new) noise rock pushes social commentary buttons in our brain. The view, the acute punk focus of TFS's tearing down of the destructive forces promulgated by racism and xenophobia, far right terrorism and, of course, corrupt governmental power.

Racists are back for another big run

Homophobic sexists are not yet done

When the far right are filled with such confidence

You know that we are due some terrible end

I have always liked TFS's brute force aesthetic and while sometimes I want music as art to be as far away from politics as can be, I love the poltico punk pushback they provide because in the end we can only be barreled over by the punch drunk bullies who seem to dispense hatred for fun if we let them.

Hear we, we are the hopeful, left with ideals
Struck dumb as we see Egalitarianism decay
Words fail, why are yours always filled with such hate?
Stick the far right back in the pages of disgraced, histories

'In these Dystopian times we demand dancing noisenik gatekeepers to find a way through the mire. Clear cut noise guerrillas to drown out the Trump/Johnson shouting and capital letters tweeting. We need a band that comes from the heart and soul of broken Britain. A band that accidentally sings for the lost generation.

It’s somehow fitting, then, that Blackpool, the town I grew up in has birthed the most important band of this moment. The tatty seaside town of my youth was never a hot bed of radicalism on the surface but its underside seethed with art, ideas and madness and Those Fucking Snowflakes are firmly part of that tradition.

Obviously they never thought that when they formed that they would be on the verge of being a BIG BAND. Their name gives that away and as they chuckle at the impossibility of persuading radio DJs to announce their full monicker they fire off another song that barbs the madness that we are in. Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings and goings, Brrrrrexit and macho platitudes are all neatly spliced by the band who celebrate being snowlflakes.

TFS are the high decibel meek who will internet the earth. TFS are the poison in the machine and the flowers in the dustbin...TFS not only have one of the greatest names for a band ever but are armed with an acerbic, acidic wit and a sharp sense of perception that sees a constant supply of sharply observed lyrics that slice up their fierce post punk shots that somehow sound like a kind of modern pop music - a pop music that has been redefined in the post Sleaford Mods/IDLES world.

TFS are also the most vital punk band around because they deal with the NOW! The songs are snapshots of these chaotic and strange times, TFS take the piss, they make a point and there is a method to their madness. TFS also deal out a riff collision that is thrilling and life affirming. TFS may be angry, TFS may even be making a point but TFS may have a dark sense of humour and great songs and they know that in the land of fools the jester is king...'

Those Fucking Snowflakes are a vibrant clash of political punk, hardcore rock and math rock, a band formed as a means to scream the dread and horror faced in these confusing times of our modern society. From the current mess of the UK political system to the intolerance of, well, everything. From race and gender to such simple items as Greggs releasing a Vegan Sausage Roll, the band are shouting about it backed with a tight unique sound and occasional off kilter humour.

Those Fucking Snowflakes released thier debut song ‘Stop Being Dickheads To Each Other’ in October which quickly gained a massive amount of support from Tom Robinson at BBC 6music. Tom fought hard to get an otherwise ‘unsuitable for radio’ band onto the airwaves via 6music. He even invited them down to the BBC Introducing Festival to do a quick guest spot with Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods during his panel.

The song gained a good bit of traction with the band being featured on sites from When The Horn Blows, Joyzine, Overblown and many more as well as airplay on other stations.

The band really come into their own in a live setting though, having played over 30 shows in their first year of gigs, starting in April 2019 , the tight and explosive live performance has gained them many new fans across the country and shows no sign of slowing up.
