"I must find a place where I belong..."
French noise rock band, Bile, on the caustic fire storm that is "Fausse Route" pluck feral guitar lines that feel like brain misfires and screaming Italian police cars. The anthemic rebel rock tone speaks, or rather, shouts to not only forgiving yourself for past mistakes but reveling in the wisdom those mistakes can carry if you only embrace them. The band blends French and English which I love and I love how the song peals away into youthful nihilism on the chorus.
Ange's guitar work, jagged piercing flourishes incorporated as part of heavy chord strikes and bottom notes simultaneously is amazing to hear and see, Victor and Slimane as a bass and drum monster rhythm and tightly wound counter positioned puzzle pieces to Ange's guitar work (as straight mirror or carnival mirror) works beautifully. And the point of the punk / nosie rock arrow stands vocalist Aline, strident and empowered, muscular and poised.
In the end, you know this song is not about death but about living and kicking ass. I encourage you to check out their You Tube channel to see how they sound LIVE.
