Keegan Powell and the garden rock affections of "There's A Mountain" (Official Video)

"I don't like it when you feel that way..."

Keegan Powell’s “There’s A Mountain” is a beacon of hope fit for the wild times we’re all presently in. Powell previously played with Teenage Kicks and Chastity out of Toronto, and has been releasing solo work alongside these collaborations. This single is released ahead of his debut full length set for next year, and the positivity it radiates is something we all need to be reminded of right now. While there are often times in history that affect the whole world, many of us haven’t experienced anything quite like this within our lifetimes. The severity varies depending on where you are, but going through so much adversity all at once just makes us stronger and more unified. We all feel this together, and will get through it together. “There’s A Mountain” instills the idea that we create our own destiny with determination and hope while keeping the better days for everyone in mind. Layers of full impassioned sound culminate to carry that dreamy feeling, so add it to your playlist of songs to lift you up. Of course we still need our angsty cathartic expressions, but music like Powell’s is much needed and we’re looking forward to the next releases.
