Tone Deaf's infectious post punk dreaminess of "Hang On"
"please don't run..."
Tone Deaf are back with their recently released feel-good single “Hang On,” an upbeat and infectiously catchy track. In the stylings of classic shoegaze and dream pop, the instrumentation is airy yet hard hitting and totally affecting. The lyricism of “Hang On” is relatable and uplifting, much like their last single “Meloncholia,” both of which are lighthearted and fun listens well suited for blasting on a scenic drive. Things are looking up at least a little since our last Tone Deaf review; Tr**p is out of office, we’ve got vaccines, and we’ve got cheerful and hopeful music to remind us that everything will always work itself out one way or another. Tone Deaf have been working hard on an EP and another single release coming soon. For now sit back, relax and listen to “Hang On.”
