Commons 2 and the politico post punk psyche rock groove of "Hands"

"don't push me"

The synth glimmers falling over vox that have both smooth croons and raw edges, pushed on by a sort of retro groove and 80's / 90's new wave / post punk guitars and an overall dancing psychedelic atmosphere on "Hands" by Jersey City, New Jersey indie rockers, Commons 2, had me thinking of a crashing together of formidable artists like Tears For Fears, Preston School of Industry, and Hoodoo Gurus.

"you got some blood on your hands - I can see it in your smile..."

The band says the song "contemplates the dangers of corporatism and complacency" and complacency is never a good thing, is it? I appreciate the shouty lyrics, the psyche rock sway and the politico punk affections.
