Jaialai dazzles and pummels on the psyche rock illusionary "Vesuvius" (Official Animated Video)

"tell me who's left to blame"

Listen to the trippy and heavy "Vesuvius" within the equally trippy and heavy Official Animated Video. as created by Manuel Fermont and, if you have a brain firing and a heart beating, you will be moved. Your body will likely sway or head bop or hand mimic rock guitar playing but further more, the imagery may disturb you with it's marvelous graphic depictions and you will be surprised. There are realizations, concepts steeped in the industrial military complex, our own kids as pre-programmed soldiers and totally disposable fodder for oil, for power. You will see stacks of gold coins as they move and are inserted into (NO), I will not ruin the impact, the vexing nature but the real truth and consequences will make you think about flesh, blood, hearts, souls and nirvana.

Jaialai is the alternative rock band from Miami, FL, comprised of Jose Adames (Guitar/Synth), Richard Boullon (Drums), Mario Lemus (Bass) and Oscar Sardiñas (Guitar and vocals) that created the soundtrack for this animation. Even apart from the video, their music pushes imagery into your brain via shoegazey psyche alt rock tones informed by their eclectic respective heritages from Venezuela, El Salvador and Cuba.

From the onset with their sort of muted catchy beat and hooky guitar progs, the song draws you in. Then the onslaught begins feeling like you have opened the door to a rock club and the muffled sound of the band playing turns into a full heavy impact. The production is spot on and Sardiñas' vocal sound feels perfectly poised as the psychic host about to take you on a ride. The guitar work, percussive sparkles like bells sound so pretty as this dynamically rich thing turns into something else as all the heaviness falls away.

"Vesuvius" is one of those psychedelic rock songs that you can get lost in. It was written in the wake of the death of George Floyd and has a dark undertone which beautifully evaporates into ethereal places by the end of the song. Songwriter and guitarist Oscar Sardiñas hopes the song "helps the listener reach inner peace amidst the chaos."
