James Gardin's deep soulful hip hop hug "When The Friends Check In" (feat: Taylor Taylor)

"I just want to see you glow"

Michigan based indie rapper, singer-songwriter, producer James Gardin's latest "When The Friends Check In" is the kind of deep loving hug we can all use during these uncertain times. With a warm and wonderful assist by jazz pop artist Taylor Taylor, he cultivates a vibe and flow built on a simple engine of spartan piano keys and a booming beat. The track trades sincere rap lines, "I know you fight to keep it lit up, it's like a full time job not to give up" while Taylor mirrors lines with her croon. The track works because of the universal tugs and the melodies and rap bounce that feel so sing-able and, believe me, you will be singing along because it feels so good to do so.

"I just want to know with you, got all the love you need, I know you been burning low, I just want to see you glow"

We've all been burning low lately and this track stokes up the fire inside.

Gardin shares:

"I hope this song can help your friends feel safe and cared for as they go through the storms life throws at you. Music can help us stay connected with our friends . I hope this helps you and your friends.
