JustJohn. revels in what was meant to be on "The Moon"

"you hear but you don't understand"

On "The Moon", Atlanta alt hip hop / indie rock artist JustJohn pushes guitar tones that are bathed in classic sort of country crate rock sounds and then twists it all with his evocative croons and conscious hip hop. I am somehow transported to other times, to the early 2000's (with love) and I don't know why (?). "The Moon" is the sort of all inclusive track that hooks you into it's story and makes you reflect on your own situation.

"The Moon is a song I made following the realization that not becoming what was expected of me was the best decision I ever made. Sometimes people that love us have these expectations of who we are and who we should one day become. In my experience, these expectations are typically rooted in their own subconscious insecurities & regrets.

This record speaks to and for those who choose their own path. For the people who define success by their own standards and look within for guidance. Because ultimately, life is too precious to pretend. In this song I am transparent about my mistakes and celebrate the path less traveled."   -JustJohn

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

I'm a alt hip hop/indie rock artist & guitarist based out of Atlanta, GA. I make music by combining interesting melodies with real life experiences. If this was a song I'd have a lot more to say.
