Indie tropes will come and go as will trends that won't stand the test of time but being a storyteller within all genres will always capture people's imaginations because the story is the foundation of who we are from millennia (and beyond). Neo & Neo, the musical project of Dominik Robin based out of Switzerland, is a folk indie singer-songwriter, musician and, first and foremost, a storyteller who shares personal experiences and observations along the way in his own way. On his latest offering, "A Little Bit Too Sweet", he hangs his words on time itself. Like the sweep of a second hand the track moves fluidly as guitars sparkles, bass thumps along with snare embellishments and an electric guitar lead line that hooks you in firmly. Robin's vocal aesthetic is earnest with a forlorn grace to his sandpaper voice. His words are candidly told, remembrances held together with poetic string, yes, but not tied too close to the vest, not bound to obtusely. They are words that spark your own experiences in your mind.
"A Little Bit Too Sweet" was written by Robin, co-produced & arranged by Sebastian Portillo & Daniel Rabenstein, recorded & mixed by Sebastian Portillo at PROGR, Bern with electric guitar by Nick Nobody. It is the first single of Neo & Neo's upcoming sophomore album.
