Temple in Man stir, love, funk and psychedelia on "On Your Way" (Official Video)

"don't let your spirit go to waste..."

"On Your Way" by Sweden based Temple in Man plunges you into a nostalgic sea of 70's funk (even mellow disco) vibes that make me think of the flirtation of psychedelia and the Soul Train Line all at once. Key to this vibe is the vast production with subtle sounds filling the background while the forefront is cemented down with a swinging bass line and pushed beat and while that forefront rhythm makes the track today, really the rest of the sounds like the lovely orchestration and gang vox make it feel so yesterday. Love this--

[Temple in Man's upcoming album, SPOTS OF LIGHT, showcases a wave of pop-psychedelic joy with sparkling melodies and a mirage of golden lo-fi influence.]

As he explains about the album: "For the album I wanted to create a dreamy and magical soundscape that captured both my vision for Temple In Man and the essence of the album topics. I set out to create a musical world that hopefully carries the listener away to a special and magical place. When writing the album, it felt like I was heading out on a journey - a journey of self exploration, experimentation and growth. In retrospect, it feels like a large extent of the album wrote itself, in a sense. I mostly just let the songs come into being without forcing the process to take place - which in itself feels like a true joy and blessing to experience. The process of writing the album took about two years from start to end."

Dream, dance, love one another and always stay funky.

Temple In Man is a Stockholm based indie artist who draws inspiration from 60-70’s soul artists such as Marvin Gaye and Roy Ayers, to more contemporary acts like Flying Lotus and The Avalanches.

The music project is full of musical elements without limiting the listener to a frame. It’s playful, passionate, and full of creative freedom from multi-talented songwriter and producer Oskar Jennefors.

Temple In Man’s music has already earned praise and support from the likes of NBHAP, The Luna Collective, and Radio Fritz on his debut singles 'Reminiscing', 'Blue Skies' and 'The Light' which was released in 2020 on Opening Records.

The soundscape has a cinematic lo-fi touch and explores the states between dream and reality.

Altruism, exploration and light are the guiding principles that creates a magical musical space for the listener to explore.

As he explains: “For me, listening to and writing music is very much about exploration. To explore myself and all that I contain, both the known and the unknown. In the same sense Temple In Man acts as a platform that I can use for just that - a tool for exploration without limitations. Life in itself is filled with so much mystery and magic, and it is all that mystery and magic that I try to express. Temple In Man combines the particular and universal - that which we all face and go through in life as human beings. Even though one always expresses oneself through personal experiences, Temple In Man is more about “we” and “us” then it is about “me”.”

His upcoming album titled SPOTS OF LIGHT showcases a wave of pop-psychedelic joy with sparkling melodies and a mirage of golden lo-fi influence.
