Grace Gillespie and the beautiful folk classicalism of "All The Yellow Flowers"

"All my luck is out, but I’ve a body of my own now..."

London based singer-songwriter, artist and producer, Grace Gillespie has a voice that quickly stirs you into some other place with hints of late 60's garden rock, psychedelic patches of sun through tree limbs as "she comes in incense and patchouli", to steal a line from Al Stewart. On the track "All The Yellow Flowers" Gillespie does absolutely transport you with her falling guitar notes, subtle folk orchestration and that lovely, lovely voice that tells stories that mesmerizes you, transports you to other places and times via a sort of folk classicalism that you don't always hear in such a pure way.

Grace Gillespie is a London-based artist and producer originally from Devon, who spent much of 2017 touring as part of 4AD’s Pixx. Her early demo of ‘Restoration’ saw her tipped to Q Magazine by Newton Faulkner and, following re-recording, the track is now set for it's formal release. Her sound takes influences from the folk, psych and dream-pop traditions, providing a backdrop to her intriguing vocal melodies, shifting harmonies and introspective lyricism.
